Hey girls,
Any chance people who have hosted and finished MEPs would be kind enough to post download links of the completed versions here? I'd very much love to have the MEPs on my computer. :] <3

So since now only the MEP hosts have the finished versions, could you post download links for them here? And from now on, finished MEPs would be uploaded to a file sharing site as well as YouTube. ^^ Sanna the materialist o/ It would be epic to have them so that I wouldn't have to go watch them on YouTube. :D

Sorry about how large the watermarks are, I couldn't really tell in Vegas and once I rendered it my laptop screen decided to blow up so it looks like the TV effect thing in Vegas, so I obviously couldn't re-render it. I only managed to upload it because I automatically backed the file up on my USB and dug out my really old laptop that has a habit of overheating and crashing whenever it feels like it Razz

Well given that it is hard to see how well the watermarks work in Vegas (I had to render a few times to get them right), it's no big deal. And when I downloaded this, I noticed that when you watch it in it's original rendered settings, they don't stand out, but with YT and all... also the fact that most people don't bother to a) watch in HD and b) extend the screen / watch in fullscreen.

I don't know if succeeded. i kinda wanted to go a smidge smaller but my vegas wasn't having it ;-;. so i apologize if I failed on epic per-portions. >>

I'm go do some weird jig knowing that I never have to click open that file on vegas again. Very Happy

(there are some days I wish I could just set the sodding program on fire. ooohhh the day it happens I will cry tears of joy).

I'm sorry whenever I render it in HD it not only takes 30 + hours but it always manages to fuck up some how >> something goes wrong whether it's the clips or the sound and things go black or go poof or somehow proceed to be 15 GB mostly my vegas just hates me and I try not to screw around with stuff when rendering for fear it'll screw up all my stuff. I'm sorry 3:

Then something's wrong with your Vegas. xD I mean, it MIGHT take longer, but my Vegas renders basically everything in less than 30minutes, and no video should ever be 15GB. :D Shouldn't even be over 2GB.

What kinda computer do you have? And what system, XP, Vista, 7? Also, which Vegas? xD

I think it's just my vegas and me not being able to use rendering settings correctly- I'm experimenting with HD right now so I can render in all it's prettiness. will see how that works- but yeah it's mostly me being a goofball and everything i touch goes to hell Very Happy. but if I can get it figured out I'll try to render it again.

Copypaste of a tutorial I posted on another studio forum;


Open Vegas
-> click File
-> click Properties
A window opens up called Project Properties and the tab is automatically 'Video'

Then;
click the box next to Template and choose
"HDV 720-30p (1280x720; 29,970 fps)"
(if you really want to render in 1080p, the one to pick is "HDV 1080-24p (1440x1080; 23,976 fps)", but I don't recommend it unless your original footage IS 1080p!)

Then change the Full Resolution Rendering Quality to "Best".

And I recommend clicking the box next to "Start all new projects with these settings", that way your projects will always be rendered in HD beauty.



Also, if this causes your footage in Vegas to have black edges, there's a solution for that;

When you place the clip on the timeline, a small box appears in the corner, aka The Event Pan/Crop window, click that.

Right click the clip in the Event Pan/Crop window and click "Match Output Aspect" and that way the clip will automatically crop out the black edges.
